Can I run oblivion on high without lag?

I'm getting a new PC and will it run Oblivion on high?

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.7Ghz

CPU Cooler: Xigmatek HDT-S963

Operating System: Microsoft? Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3

Memory: 4GB DDR3 1333mhz (2x 2GB)

Hard Drives: Crucial 64GB SSD S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s

Second hard drive: 500GB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s

Optical Drive: 22x DVD±RW DL S-ATA

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 6870 1GB

Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio

You can definitely run Oblivion on high. Your system is way more than what is needed to run Oblivion well at any setting; however, I'd be surprised to find anyone running it without any lag. It's just not optimized very well. You have four cores and all that, and Oblivion couldn't care less. The SSD will certainly cut down on the lag. You'll be running the game with less lag than most. I can at least say that with confidence.

The best hope for lagless is that your cores are OC-ed to 4.7 and that SSD drive. I'd like to know how it runs, but I can't make any affirmative promises to that question.

P.S. How much did that thing cost? Did you build it yourself? I was thinking about getting that CPU as well.
