Once again, new game crash.

Post » Tue Jul 12, 2011 12:14 pm

Like everyone else ever, I get a crash when starting a new game. I've tried the .dll file fix, nothing, I changed all the settings and stuff to what people told me to do, nothing, I switched it to windows classic and windowed mode, nothing. Help?

Also, my pc info:

TOSHIBA Satellite L505 model
Intel® Core™2 duo CPU T6500 @ 2.10GHz
3.00 GB of RAM
32-bit operating system

That's all I could find.

The game requires an actual graphics card, and nothing from Intel qualifies.

What are the Fallout 3 (PC) system requirements?

Minimum System Requirements:

* Windows XP/Vista
* 1GB System RAM (XP)/ 2GB System RAM (Vista)
* 2.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
* Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 256MB RAM
(NVIDIA 6800 "GS" or better/ ATI X850 or better)
{Added my note here, the X800 Pro & up also, and
avoid the Geforce 6800 SE, and 6800 XT}
* 4.6 GBs of free hard drive space

Aw, man. okay, thanks. I'll get a graphics card installed soon, cause I'm not wasting money on a game I can't even play.

I've been building my own PCs for at least 20-25 years now, and long since stopped trying to keep up with anyone's branded products, other than a few specialty builders. In other words i'd have no idea whether your particular machine has any option to upgrade much of anything other than the RAM and the fixed disk drive. If it is an ordinary laptop, it was literally welded shut, and any attempt to separate its chassis from its mainboard will destroy both. You can't get inside of it where a graphics card would have been, had you originally ordered it set up for game playing.
