your right about one thing but fallout is what people in the 50s thought the future would look like not what was made at that time .

There were no laser rifles ever, in our universe. The reason why people are so crabby about this kind of thing, is because the Fallout timeline diverted from ours in the 50's, so most guns that were made after the 50's wouldn't be around, because that specific moment in time where they were brainstormed into a weapon, never happened. Laser rifles were created after the Fallout timeline diverted, while everyone was still stuck in their 'retro-futuristic' era.

good point, the game takes place in the 23rd century, so of course it is going to have laser rifles, power armor, etc. I just wish they would have put a little more detail to show that the guns were old, maybe a little rust *hint hint*
