how do you untrap doors and,,,

sorry to ask 2 questions,but whilst restarting game for about the 5th time (am a morrowind novice) when exploring dungeons e.t.c have come across a few trapped doors.how do you go about disarming the traps (mostly magic based),also keep getting hit with am over encumberant spell whilst fighting some of the enemies in the dungeons (have to eat some of my food/get rid of stuff) i am a breton battlemage under the sign of the mage if that is of any help.thanks :-) p.s absolutely loving the game :-D

Probes and lock picks will disarm traps and open locks, but this requires some "skill" in Security.

You could also stand away from the trap and use a telekinesis spell to set it off safely, then use an open spell on the lock.

As for the enemies lowering your encumbrance, I feel you are likely facing Greater Bonewalkers (or possibly some other random mages with this power.) The Greater Bonewalkers can damage your strength and the spell won't wear off, forcing you to go to a shrine to restore your attributes.

There's really no way to avoid them once they start appearing....just keep something that can restore your strength on hand. (Potions or an enchanted item with Restore Strength.)

I think they are probably a Morrowind junkies 2nd most hated enemy, after Cliff Racers, and are certainly more dangerous.
