TIE (tamriel immersion experience)

I'm trying to put together a mod list, and I need an overhaul. I would download and test these mods myself, but last time I did that I got svcked into testing and never really played the game. So this time I'm hoping to have a smallish list of mods, download them and just play the game. After reading through a few overhauls I've come to the difficult decision to try TIE. So my first question is:

From your experience with TIE, do you think I should consider OOO instead? Or some other overhaul?

For those who think TIE is a good choice, what mods should I consider that work nicely with TIE?

While making suggestions, it might help to know that I prefer gritty realism and usually play underdog characters that I like to be about as strong and as well equipped as the NPCs in the world. I use stealth a lot, but do not consider my characters assassins or ninjas or anything like that, I typically play an outlaw/criminal, but rarely ever an evil character. For quests, I prefer voiced dialogue for consistency. So far this is what I have in mind:

  • TIE
  • unique landscapes
  • lost spires
  • crime has witnesses
  • regional bounty
  • something to improve vanilla item meshes?
  • something to balance out archetypes?
  • something for me to do after lost spires? (I've done most vanilla content.)
  • some immersion/realism mods?
  • anything else that works nicely with TIE?

I can't comment about TIE, but for crime/bounty enhancement instead of "Crime Has Witnesses" and "Regional Bounty" I'd suggest you use Ren's Guard Overhaul. That's much more configurable. :)

I dont use any other besides TIE so cant comment on other overhauls - Highly recommend TIE though

For those who think TIE is a good choice, what mods should I consider that work nicely with TIE?

Saebels "Sneaking Detection Recalibrated", SDR for short, superb addition and very compatible with TIE - As far as anyone can tell (including Arthmoor) there are no compatability problems at all mixing this with TIE.

Duke Patricks "Combat Archery", available on TESAlliance. Though if you can still grab the 5.1.1 version that might be adviseable rather than the newer 5.1.2 version (have a look through the last couple of pages on this forum for the gamesas topic - There have been a few reports of problems with the latest version and I think spooky has been too busy with a new mod of his to notice the responses to the recent new version)

Those are my top picks for mixing up with TIE. Though if you try Combat Archery read the documentation very carefully. Spooky does not respond well to questions which are answered in the readme, or involve conflicts with other mods he does not use.
