Endless Save Loading July 2011 HELP!?!

Post » Wed Jul 13, 2011 1:45 am

I'm sorry, but this is just frustrating. They release the new patch, and as soon as I try to play all my save files just load endlessly, never actually loading. I've tried deleting my system cache, deleting the the Title update, deleting/reinstalling the DLC's (as well as the classic pack) and cleaning my disc. Nothing helps. At first I could access my hardcoe account, but now that one just loads endlessly as well. I can't even start a new game, as soon as I save, it just loads endlessly when I try to re-load it. This is completely broken and quite possibly the worst glitch I've ever come across, as it stops me from even accessing the game in any way shape or form. I've tried researching this glitch and it seems to have occurred with previous title updates, but the described fixes don't work.

So my question is, does ANYONE know anything about how to fix this, or information pertaining to an upcoming fix for 360?

P.S. When loading/choosing save I don't get any message about my save being corrupted.

P.S.S. If you someone could bring this to the attention of a Black Isle or Bethesada employee that would be great. (Assuming this hasn't already been done and I'm just behind. I've tried the fallout wikia and they can offer no help, and I've seen several threads on their forums involving this issue, so this isn't just me.

I've been having the same problem as well. I knew it must be the update causing this issue because I deleted it and loaded my save game fine without the update, but when I re-installed it the same problem began happening again, so I knew it couldn't be a corrupted file. I actually managed to get it working at one point by deleting the update then restarting my xbox and downloading it again, and then loading my save game. However, this only worked once and when I tried again later the infinite loading screen returned. Here's to hoping they can get this solved quickly, I was just about to get into some DLC and it's a nuisance to have to wait for something like this. At least we know the patch is a big one, and should actually be worth the trouble for.

Good to know this is hopefully being fixed. However, deleting the patch, and restarting the xbox is not resulting in anything other than a frozen game for me.
