It's next year, right? With Oblivions 5th anniversary getting it a re release, what's everyone expecting for Morrowind? Remember Daggerfall was released for free for it's 10th anniversary (i think).

I hope for something remotely interesting.

I'm not sure they'd make it available for free like Daggerfall, but who knows. It's already available in GOTY form and on Steam. A nice nod to the game in some way would be cool...maybe collect the thoughts of long time gamers from the forums and post them on the main site on the anniversary. I'd certainly contribute. They could ask for things like favorite moments, favorite NPCs, etc.

Regardless, I have my copies of the game and it's expansions on PC and protect them like gold. As long as I have those, I'll be happy.

Arena was released for free with its 10th anniversary, Daggerfall was not.

I really hope they do something - it can be small, it can be something only the most hardcoe of Morrowind fans will know, but I really want some celebration of this bloody amazing game

I've been thinking about it since this was posted, and here a few (little) things I'd like:

- As I already mentioned, just have long time Morrowind fans write in with their favorite parts of the game and post some of them as a collection on the main Bethesda page. Simple thoughts like "I'll never forget my first time getting lost in Vivec city" or "I was killed by the rats in the first Fighter's Guild quest" or "I still hate Cliff Racers to this day" kind of stuff. People could talk about their favorite moments of the game, their favorite NPCs, or just other random stuff that makes it the game we love.

- Post some desktop screenshot wallpapers of some famous scenes from Morrowind redone in Skyrim graphics. They could do Vivec floating cross legged in his temple, or the first view of Balmora from the Silt Strider dock, or a panoramic shot of Akulakhan in Dagoth Ur's lair....simple but totally awesome to an old Morrowind vet.

- Also, add a little piece of DLC for Skyrim. Just something simple....like it adds a set of Bonemold Armor to the game, just as it looked in Morrowind with updated graphics. Make it available on the original Morrowind release date.

Arena was released on it's 10th anniversy.

Daggerfall was release on the 15th anniversy of the series.

Im thinking prehaps on the 20th Anniversy they'll release Battlespire and/or Reguard.



Morrowind can still be sold, I havent seen it in a bit...but another re-release would still sell.

They'll definitely not give Morrowind for free for its 10th anniversary, it still sells enough to make it a stupid idea to make it free. I'd be happy if they did though, that way everybody could see how awesome of a game Morrowind is !
