Most of the people on this forum are minors and really, really stupid. It's why I never go on here unless I have a problem, and even then I think twice about it.

Anyway, I have similar specs, and the game is the same way for me as well.

Core i5 2.66GHz (boost up to 2.93)
AMD Radeon HD 6550 1GB up to 2.746
4 GB DDR3 mem
640 GB HDD

I don't give a flying **** if some 15 year old has a 3x better rig in his room and says that THAT is why he runs this game fine. The bottom line is, I should have no lag on at least lowest settings, and I do. So screw this game until a proper patch comes out.
finally someone smart .. was thinking someone has made a way to turn down the graphics by now...
i heard hacks were made before the game was even released.. O_o... so i was assuming there was an "fix" for it lol.

um... 3 (or so) days after the game came out.. first day i got it i tried multi it lagged the mouse.. but single player is fine- im surprised i can record it in full HD, in single player and the mouse laggs in multi... :S

my laptop is inferior to yours (lotsa stuttering(on some levels) on ultra) , but i have no lag playing crysis 2 with a xbox360 gamepad ... try it.
Plug in a console controller and it removes lag, that'd be right. That's the kind of forward thinking devs have succumbed to these days lol

Try running Crysis 2 without Gamebooster.

I unlike most people dont care much about graphics.. if a game has the smallest lag for me i dont play it.. thats why i havent touched crysis 2 since i bought (1st week it came out).. I dont know why it lags... my fps is ok (29~50) but the mouse keeps lagging.. (im sure most people know what i mean)
i really think there needs to be an option to turn down the graphics down even more..
(and if someone knows a "secret" they wanna tell me, feel free to do so.. or point me in the right direction.. lol)

please dont tell me to get better comp (or W/E) as i got 8gb RAM (+4gb ready boost) core i5 @2.81ghz

a Tweak or something? to make it lagg less? as crysis 1 has no lagg and this does... and yet this supposed to have lower requirements...

- F9 to turn colorgrading (only) off and F10 to turn it back on (makes the game brighter)
- F11 to turn off effects (see below) F12 to turn them back on (makes it faster/not very pretty)

This should give you up to 30 frames. Let me know if it works.

this doesnt seem to work in multi.. it just jumps 2x and opens nano vision..

Ok, so it does not open up the console. With what key do you open up the console? The script uses circumflex (^) - i think steam users have different key bindings...

Edit: Depends on your region as to what symbol the key will represent. On a UK layout for example the key is ` and ?, located directly below the key, where as ~ on a UK layout is on the right next to the enter key and shares a spot with #.

So try pressing one of the keys to open the console, press F11-> this should paste in the cvars, then close the console.

I will make a new version of the script including several options for different keyboard layouts - otherwise feel free to modify my script

Gamepad playing Crysis 2 on the PC, LOL

yeah , well ...

playing campaign-mode with an xbox360 gamepad is imo much better/relaxer then with mouse/keyboard ...

and on top of that "melee-attacks" allways works with the pad .... , not so with the latter.

but , multiplayer ofcourse svcks playing with a game-pad (way to slow).

It's good for some games but not FPS games unless you drive a lot in them. Really hate how devs force you to buy an Xbox360 controller because they cannot be bothered to support 3rd party PC pads. DirectX has direct input so any game can support any controller from Windows but not devs don't even support that basic thing.

I find that the mouse lag is caused by the variable frame rate. Of course, in most other games if you are running at 30fps and then it goes up to 50fps you will suddenly feel more response, but in Crysis 2 it is much worse. It's wierd, because in Crysis and Warhead, everything felt much better, even when the framerate dropped.

The best idea, if you can't run at 60fps + all the time, is to run it at a fixed framerate. Go for just above whatever your minimum is or something.
