You go into the dreamsleave, forget who you are, and then are reincarnated.

Or a Daedric Realm.

Only if you've somehow managed to bind your soul to that realm (something only powerful sorcerers can do), or are inside the realm when you die.

If you're trapped by someone in one, yes.
And only black soul gems can hold "normal" souls apparently.
I've never liked that part thou. Feels too... strict.

I agree. I liked how I could capture almost everyone's soul in MW, especially Alamenxia's soul in Azura's Soulgem :chaos:

I really want to see an Enlightenment era spring up in Tamriel - an ideological Renaissance of the Dwemer. Really rip into the degrading system, gods like Vivec and Tiber Septim ride to lordship. Meanwhile, their subjects die to Arkay's soylent green vats - and they laugh, promulgating their religious, caste [censored]. Capture a dragonborn soul, hook it up to some machine, and power several hundred cities with it.

Or have 'em go all New Earth on the Nerevarine and use him to create cures for all known diseases through some big machine with pumps.

Yep, that's what makes the Nerevarine Prophecy plausible.

However each culture see's the departure of their souls into the dreamsleeve in a different way. For instance the traditional Ra'Gada (Redguards) believe that one of their gods, Tu'whacca, leads them to the farshores. And in the religion of the Nine Divines it's Arkay who governs the travel of souls into the Dreamsleeve.

I dunno, I see with the Yokudans that it's to get to "the far shores" you need to learn how to break free by being clever enough to find a new way there, and that's not by dying. Dying means you failed, and therefore you svck and must continue learning till you figure out how to cut corners and get to the far shores.

It's....mannish, in ways, but merrish, in that the world is a prison. I guess, in my drunken state, that they're following the nordic idea of that Mundus is a testing ground, but that Shor isn't your friend and they must learn the jumping ways, but to be able to do it even better than before. I guess they have to be even better than the Leaping Devil King, or at least find a new and better way.
