A very very small question

Post » Mon Jul 18, 2011 5:12 am

It's a very simple question that probably should not have it's own thread. However, I do not wish to hijack other people's threads to ask this but, how do you look down in Daggerfall? I only made it past the rat and the bat in the first tutorial dungeon and I can't loot their bodies. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can, the cursor acts as the "hand" so hover it over the body and loot away. I may be wrong though.

Well I never thought of just hovering over the corpse. I'll try it out later. Thanks.

Check the controls, you can look around I had that key assigned to ALT.

Crouching (default key "D") makes looting bodies much easier.

Yeah, I checked the controls after I went back lol. I changed it to something more easier. The game seemed to believe I was left handed. :P

EDIT: I guess we can go ahead and lock this. I got my answer.

There is a freelook option in Daggerfall that lets you look where you point the mouse. It is not enabled by default.
Setting it should make the game a lot less clunky to play.
