I actually agree with talkitoaster. Just by messing around you'll self teach yourself so it might stick in a bit better. It all depends on what you intend to do though, if you want to make new buildings and stuff, you'll need tutorials since it'd be really complicated. But if you just want to muck about then you won't need tutorials. If you make anyover-powered weapons, it's probably best not to upload it since there's enough people who make minigun nukers. And it's pointless
I'm going to have to disagree with you,
If Myself_1 wants to build a 10mm pistol that shoots mini nukes or, 40mm grenades he/she should feel free to upload. A little positive feedback from likeminded people goes a long way to help you continue to mod.
If He/She was a Vet. I would be standing next to you, making fun of them for doing such things but, (for sake of argument) He has already said he is new to the GECK, why shun him? He just wants to get started, to learn something new!
You shouldn't tell him not to upload, If he thinks it's good then so be it.
So, in my opinion (Myself_1) upload away, If people don't agree or, want your efforts they simply wont download. The others that do will!
As I've said before, just have some fun.

Edit, If I went with your thought process, I would have never uploaded "DCInteriors". Just look how that turned out. :twirl:
