TEASER

FADE IN:

EXT. CAPITOL WASTELAND - DAY

We OPEN UP with a WIDE SHOT of the CAPITOL WASTELAND, a barren harsh environment. Off in the distance, gun fire can be heard. We then see it is the BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL battling a unit of ENCLAVE soldiers.

BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL #1
TAKE COVER! TAKE COVER!

We see one of the Enclave soldiers holding a MISSILE LAUNCHER and firing it at the Brotherhood soldiers, blowing at lest two of them into pieces which scatter across the ground. The soldier who shouted the order, managed to escape the deadly blast and take cover with SARAH LYONS.

BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL #1 (CONT’D)
There’s too many of them!

We get a good look at the size of the Enclave unit, at lest TWENTY soldiers against no more than TEN Brotherhood soldiers.

SARAH
Damnit! Where the hell are they coming from?!

Sarah peeks out from behind the large rock and fires her LASER RIFLE. Sarah ducks to avoid a beam of light that would most certainly kill her.

SARAH (CONT’D)
Son of a [censored]!

BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL #1
What are your orders?

Sarah pauses to consider what options she has. As the gun fire continues to sound away with the Brotherhood loosing more men and women than the Enclave forces, she sighs.

SARAH
FALL BACK! FALL BACK!

The unit follows her command without question, nor without hesitation as the cover one and other as they escape from another, pointless skirmish with the Enclave.

EXT. THE CITADEL - NIGHT

ESTABLISHING. THE CITADEL, the heavily defended headquarters of the Brotherhood of Steel in the Capital Wasteland, built into and beneath the ruins of the Pentagon. We see the figures of Sarah and her men approaching the front gate.

INT. THE CITADEL - THE GREAT HALL

ELDER OWYN LYONS sits in the Citadel’s ‘Great Hall’ which had been turned into a makeshift Briefing room with other members of the DC chapter including HEAD SCRIBE ROTHCHILD, and KNIGHT CAPTAIN

COLVIN each seated in various seats around the circle shape.

COLVIN
We can’t keep taking hits like this Lyons! Each and every day the Enclave grows stronger and stronger and at the same time the Brotherhood gets weaker. This ‘War’ is vast becoming mass slaughter!
Rothchild nods in agreement with Colvin.

ROTHCHILD
Myself and the other Scribes agree with the Knight Captain, Owyn, we need a victory. Moral is at an all time low. Sawbones reports that the number of wounded soldiers die over night! The Enclave have vastly superior weaponry and technology, to them we’re just children playing with toys.

Lyons thinks for a moment before responding to the arguments presented by both Rothchild and Knight Captain Colvin.

ELDER LYONS
While I agree with both of you most of the time, this is one of those rare moments when I find myself in disagreement.

Rothchild and Colvin share a look, then look back at Lyons as he continues.

ELDER LYONS (CONT’D)
The enemy is stubborn, and that my friends, is there downfall.

Before he can continue, Lyons spots Sarah entering the room.

SARAH
Another skirmish, more deaths.

She throws some DOGTAGS on one of the table next to Rothchild.

ROTHCHILD
I’ll take these to Srcibe Jameson.

Rothchild stands up, taking the dogtags, and exits the room.

ELDER LYONS
This meeting is over. I wish to speak with my daughter alone.

The others in the room stand up and exit one at a time, leaving Sarah alone with her father. Lyons remains seated making Sarah walk over to him.

SARAH
How many more are you willing to loose before we actually do something about the Enclave?

ELDER LYONS
Sarah I....

SARAH
How many?!

ELDER LYONS
It has already been too many.

Sarah looks surprised by her father’s answer.

SARAH
So you admit we need help?

ELDER LYONS
Yes. I do.

SARAH
Who? Raiders? Talon Company? Riley’s Rangers?

ELDER LYONS
Anyone we can. Three Dog has requested that we help with the protection of his radio station, some Supermutant got off a lucky shot and destroyed the Dish on the Washington monument.

SARAH
Lemme guess; he want’s me to help fix it? I’m a soldier not a [censored] mechanic!

ELDER LYONS
We’ll let Three Dog worry about that part, you just make sure that whomever may attack GNR is stopped. That is your first, and only priority.

Sarah nods.

SARAH
Yes, father.

Owyn smiles as he stands up, he walks around the table and hugs his daughter.

ELDER LYONS
How many times must I tell you Sarah, call me Dad or father.

Sarah laughs.

ELDER LYONS (CONT’D)
It has been a long time since I heard that sound, feels good to know that you can still laugh in times like these.

Sarah lets go of her father.

SARAH
I’ll select soldiers and then we’ll head out to GNR, hopefully before the trouble starts.

ELDER LYONS
Good. Your mother would have been so proud of you.

Sarah smiles and begins to exit the room as Lyons sighs.

ELDER LYONS (CONT’D)
I just pray that we haven’t run out of time.

EXT. VAULT 101
We see the door to VAULT 101 slowly opening and a man stepping out as we......

FADE TO BLACK.

END OF TEASER
====================================================
And there you have it, the 'Sneak Peek' to 1x01: ''Pilot'' of ''Fallout: The Series''! Hope you enjoy it.

Aha! The famous "I'm a ____ not a ___" line.

I love it :3 and not just because of the line.

I work in film and write screenplays; Don't think I haven't thought about a Fallout TV series and contemplated writing up something. :P

But it'll be interesting to read aside from the usual fan-fiction so I'll be watching this thread closely.

Edit:

SARAH
Yes, father.

Owyn smiles as he stands up, he walks around the table and hugs his daughter.

Bit of a confusion here.

Capitol is incorrect here, but later on you switch over to Capital so maybe a oversight.

Aside from those two I see no other problems, one or two spelling mistakes but just oversights, easily fixed. A suggestion if you'd like to hear it, go a bit more descriptive with the locations and characters. Not to the point of how a fan-fiction would go where you might get a good half page of description of a environment but something just enough to put a picture in peoples head. But no it's good, keep it up.

Thanks for the comments guys! Feel free to correct me on the Fallout Lore, still no idea whether I should have a random narration or not.

I would keep the narration out, if you wish to go Fallout style Ron Perlman narration at the start giving the viewer (reader in this case) a brief insight to the world and history. Then do it. Of course it wouldn't be Fallout without that opening. :P

Hi guys,

Sorry for the slight delay, was away for the weekend. There may be a slight delay in getting the ''Pilot'' posted as I have an odd way of writing these things. I like to write the episodes AFTER the Pilot stage, just makes it easier for me most of the time.
