Anyone else think this?

I was just thinking, doesnt anyone else think our character should have scars to show what has happened to him both in Vanilla game and OWB? I mean they shot us in the head where is the scar? In OWB when we get our skin removed when it is given back it should have scars over the body with the options to remove them of course with an auto doc. But seriously I want my character to have scars showing what he has been through, it was one of my favorite things of Point Lookout and I had wished to keep the scar but didn't like the bald. Anyone else think so? Also :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: god I love this smiley

If they can make it look good, sure. But if it might have bugs (clashing wit head gear) then it's not worth it really.

I'm not sure if Christine actually got her skin removed. I think I remember hearing in the DLC that her face got "carved up", leading to her brain being meddled with and her vocal chords removed. Also, her scars don't go past her neck, and the trailer for OWB sounded as if all of our skin is removed. I personally would like to keep my brain in a jar, like in Point Lookout. :bonk:

That wouldn't happen, unless it was an outrageously big scar. But there is absolutely no reason to fool around with meshes when you create basic scars. What they have to do is use graphic artist magic (this is a really, really simple thing to do for at least the gunshot) and put a bullet scar on your head. Make a custom race specific to the Courier, and bam, you've got a gunshot. I have it on my character. But yeah, scars would be nice, but I think there is an issue with them not wanting to force them on the player. It's a tad more silly not to make a subtle gunshot wound no matter what, but what can you do? Also, who says whatever experiments will happen to you are going to produce scars like Christine? They are probably entirely different.

Ah, it seems that I was half right. Her brain is meddled with in the Big Empty and her vocal chords are cut out in the Sierra Madre.

Considering they remove your epidermis I would imagine that this process would require a lot of cutting and tearing. As for forcing them on the player I agree that it should be optional by which I mean that they should give us the scar but allow it to be removed like during the character re-spec that we are supposed to get in the DLC.

That bit in the trailer doesn't necessarily mean they'll actually remove the skin, though I don't know what other circumstances it would be. We'll have to see tomorrow.
