Best and worst Guilds to replay

Post » Tue Jul 19, 2011 4:32 am

For the worst it's a toss-up between Fighters and Arena. I'm going to have to say FIghters guild though, because the Arena fights do vary depending on the level you are when you join up.

Dark Brotherhood is the best by a long shot.

I din't like the Arena the second time. It became very repetitive

I did like the Thieves guild the second time. Because you have loads of freedom to pursue your goal to receive new quests from the guild leader

I found the TG the most fun to do the second time through. Lots of flexibility, a great love story and the end state is not as disappointing as some of the others.

For the rest, I never complete them the second time around. I find there are points in each of the others that are a 'sweet spot' and if you continue they go downhill, friends die or the ending is lonely and pointless. Particularly with the DB, MG or Arena, I never take them to their conclusion any more. My characters are not particularly interested in 'being in charge' or gaining a title.

In my opinion, the fighter's guild questline is quite possibly the worst quest line in the entire game. It is designed for fast travel. It's especially annoying when the fastest thing you own is a paint horse!

My favorite questline is probably the Dark Brotherhood, but that's about all I liked about the DB. The quests... the people were kind of weird cultists, I never really got into this whole "Serve Sithis ee he he he" thing, and when the time came for Purification, I kind of enjoyed killing them all, simply because they were all weirdos. Especially that Gogron character.

couldnt vote because there's no "undecided" choice for the first topic. On the second topic I woulda voted Fighter's Guild. I've only done the FG and MG twice...the other questlines i've only done once or not at all. if I had to choose, the FG was my fave because there was a lot of stuff I missed the first time around.

Worst - Arena - No real explanation. In short..It svcked...

Best - DB - I LOVE playing an evil char. So this is a no-brainer for me. Although, I tough it out through the MG questline first, for the goodies.

Since I′m still on my first (and only ever) playthrough I can′t vote. But I don′t think I would do Arena to its conclusion again, the only questline I have actually finished. I don′t think I would care at all for FG a second time around. Boring, repetetive stuff they had me do...

Dark Brotherhood was the best to do multiple times, because the quests can be quite different depending on how you chose to do them ^^

Huh? It svcked?
Wow, I get such an adrenaline rush whenever I do the Arena matches. As soon as that gate rises, my heart is pounding in my ears!

...I would agree that the end of it kinda svcked for sure. But I loved everything up till then.

Ok, Renee...You prompted a more in depth response to my choice.

It just felt too arcade to me. I went from an immersive RPG to Kung Fu Master. :toughninja:

The Dark Brotherhood is the worst second time round, because you know about the dead drops being switched which kind of ruins the surprise. I liked the Thieves Guild the second time, because its the only faction that actually requires some skill, since you have to fence stolen goods in between each quest, and exploring/casing out homes and shops for loot is fun.

The Arena could actually be considered the worst however, since it isnt even a questline, you just fight stuff in the same location which is bland.

Spot on mate. I still did the DB questline a couple of times, but as you say not quite as engrossing as the first time.

Usually mix up Mage's and Fighter's Guilds depending on my character build, or neither, or none at all.
