What features are you hoping for in Skyrim? Be it aesthetics

Personally, I am hoping for Jeremy Soule to try something new with his compositions. Yes, music for The Elder Scrolls has always been phenomenal, but I'm hoping for something with more a Scandanavian twist. Like if you've ever play World of Warcraft and quested in the Howling Fjord or Grizzly Hills. I love the Norse instruments and how they really give you the feeling of the culture of that region.

As for combat styles, I don't really think there's anything I could hope for. From watching the demo for E3 the combat looks exquisite. I am, however being the hardcoe RPGer that I am, hoping that they will implement a hardcoe mode like in Fallout: New Vegas.

Proper Magic, oblivion had the worst looking magic ever. I mean mostly destruction, but a master level fireball looked the same as flare. I want OTT lightshows and lazers and stuff.

I was definitely digging the flamethrower looking spell they were showing in the demo. Kinda makes me wanna play a caster!

I want to be able to throw potions you make as weapons. Or potions you drink that visually change your character for cool combat effects. Character growing in size, spewing poison, grow claws.

I want equip that limit your power. I wondering not that enchantment effects are separate from spells will there be any negative effects.

I half expect BGS to get rid of all negative effects, just because they don't see anyone using them.

Oh, and I would like to dual wield a Dark Seducer and a Golden Saint.

Same thing I look forward to in all RPG games.... Depth and Consequences. I want a DEEP engaging storyline and multiple quest solutions and outcomes. If I decide to help someone do something bad, I want to see how that bad thing affected someone else negatively.

How 'bout some freaking attributes?

None of this candycorn "let's call the stat bars attributes and completely ignore interskill interactions!" nonsense.

How about some spellmaking?

How about levitation?

How about a school called Mysticism?

How about (insert anything else of the TES world that is being ignored)

Assuming this game has hilarious ragdoll physics, perhaps characters can get fatigued from heavy fall damage, so one can lose their balance and truly tumble down a cliff-side? Or even just fall flat on their face?

While hand to hand no longer has a skill tied to it (I think?), I still hope you can fight with your fists in interesting ways.

I would've never thought of that, but the instant I read it, I wanted it too.

Beyond that.... I just want a game that I won't walk away from in disgust after a couple of hours - that won't skimp on the roleplaying details just to hurl me into an artificially urgent main quest on rails - that won't substitute GPS markers and an omniscient "journal" for game content - that will make the choices I make in the game actually mean something - that's a GAME, in and of itself, rather than just a platform for modding.

Though I suppose if the CK's powerful enough, I'll put up with the latter. Again.

Especially if I could dual wield a Dark Seducer and a Golden Saint..... :hubbahubba:
