POV In Skyrim

What Point-Of-View will you play from in skyrim? First-person is better combat oriented but third-person gives you a great view of the action and scenery as well as your character. Which will you use?

First-person for sure. I might pop in and out of third person just to see how it looks, but I definitely won't use it for combat or anything.

I'll have to play first to decide, but I'm thinking first-person.

I find for major combat periods i could use third-person as long as i was using a sword/shield combo, but when it came to using a bow and arrow, stealing, and sneaking around i have to use 1st-person

This. It's how I played Morrowind and to a lesser degree Oblivion. Run around and fight 1st person but between fights check out my character standing on a high place (the throat of the world would be a great place to check my characters coolness)

Like in all other Bethesda games that have both options, I'll primarily play in First Person, but will switch out to third person to see how my character looks while static, moving, swinging a sword, using magic etc. Third person in Oblivion was horrible, but it was alright in Fallout 3. Seeing as one of the devs stated that they could actually play Skyrim in third person, I may give it a solid shot, but I'll probably revert to first person even if the third person is amazing. I'm just used to the game that way by now.

Edit: On a side note, I attempted to play an Arena match in Oblivion in third person today. The camera freaked out on me when I went backwards through an archway. It literally turned around to face ME! I nearly died because of it!

In oblivion i tuned up the difficulty to 3/4s to play a hunter/gatherer/merchant character, and i found 3rd person was really fun for the more serious roleplaying characters you may create

First person when fighting or in doors, 3rd when running around.

I use both, probably 50/50 each. Maybe a slight edge to third person since I like seeing my character and the animations.

I'll play mostly in 3rd person. The 1st person POV is too narrow and limiting for my liking. That is providing it uses the same FOV as almost every other game these days. Most use an FOV of only 75 and it's like having tunnel vision to me. The human FOV is somewhere around 90. I'll probably be able to change the game to 90, but if it may look funny at that setting depending on how they handle the floating arms/hands.

I played the entirety of Morrowind in third person, 1000+ hrs. After MW I picked up a game called Arx Fatalis which is first person only and after 70 hrs in that game i became an exclusively first person player. I can't even stand to play 3rd person only games any more.

Giant spiders in first person… (shudders) Nah, I'll stick with 3PV.

1st person 90% of the time. Now and then when running long distances between locations, I like to switch to 3rd person to check out me character.

During combat I'll definitely stick to first-person. I usually only switch to third when checking out my character after making some aesthetic changes.

In Oblivion, I mostly played in third person, but it wasn't until Fallout 3 that I started switching between the two; First person for combat, and third for just walking around. This is probably how I'll wind up playing Skyrim.

I'll use both. However, I will be probably use third person more than first person. There's something about the third person camera that I enjoy more than the first person camera. Skyrim seems to have vastly improved the third person camera. Better position, angle, and the animations just look breathtaking.

First-person exclusively. I don't know how people can even play TES in third-person.

If I can see my body when I look down in first person then I will use it most often, but if I can't then I'll probably use third person more.

I'll probably just play on 3rd person on the beginning just to try it out. If it turns out half as good (or better) than they say, i might play on 3rd person for added comical effect... Specially when running in circles from guards. :)

i usually go 1st person for ES games but the 3rd person looks SPECTACULAR in this one ;)
i tried going 3rd only in OB and it was just kinda iffy, and i kept accidently stealing stuff, then the guards would get me >.< lol.
i also go 3rd for just running around, combat's gotta be 1st though :)
horse-mode not sure, if 1st looks good i might use that but i usually go 3rd for mounts :D
