How come we can't make mods for 360 on the Geck for Fallout 3?? I am working on a really cool star wars mod for Fallout, but halfway through I realized that it would only work on the PC version. wtf??? :swear:

There's a lot of reasons.

And a lot of existing threads stating those reasons, if you care to run a quick search.

The two biggest? Microsoft and Sony.

I guess you right... But still...
well... Is there any way I can still make a mod for the 360? or are the mods only for PC?

Neither Microsoft nor Sony allow this for security reasons.

Sony is the better of the two, as there are a few games they've begrudgingly given mod support to like this. However the only example I know of off hand is Unreal Tournament and from what I've heard the mod converter is hit or miss at best, and this is for individual maps. FO3 mods can be far more complex and far more resource-intensive so it seems likely they'd have an even smaller success rate with a converter.

Bethesda has mentioned trying to do something more in this regard with Skyrim, and if they succeed hopefully it will follow through with subsequent games as well.

Sure there are ways, but talking about them can get you banned from these forums (and most others) as well as possibly sued by Microsoft, and/or account termination with them.

And don't even think of doing something with Sony's console.

Remember Geohotz?
