Continuing DLC?

I know how in Fallout 3 they came out with a DLC that you beat the main quest and kept playing after that,
Is Vegas going to have that?

Obsidian Entertainment's lead designers and producers have already stated they don't want to allow players to play post-credits as they feel if you keep playing afterwards with no impacts or changes to the world(Which would be too resource/cost heavy for them to have done. Especially with all the endings and how things could of changed. Broken Steel for FO3 showed how people didn't like how much changes of before-ending actions didn't appear yet) then the ending would of lost its own impact on you.

However for Bethesda Game Studios(BGS), they've stated after FO3 their future games will be playable after the ending. This applies to TES V: Skyrim out on 11.11.11 and probably the future Fallout 4.

Unless Obsidian get to do Fallout 4.

While I'd love to play beyond the end, I'm sure it's not really possible. Fallout 3 ends the same way no matter what you do, so carrying on is no biggie.
New Vegas can end in four different ways - and besides which ending 'side' you choice there are hundreds of little choices too. A DLC can't take all that into account and still be good.

Not officially: which is somewhat perplexing since it irritates so many players.

There are mods available for the PC version which prevent the MQ's completion from ending the game, though.

I wouldnt put it past them. We are talking about a group that not only said that they wouldnt have a Broken Steel type of DLC, but they also said they werent going to raise the cap level with DLC`s and as of Honest Hearts (havent played Old World Blues yet) two DLC`s have raised the cap limit by 5 levels each time.

So in my book Obsidian isnt trusted on what they say. Their word means nothing to me since they said one thing and then did something else. So I would not be suprised if they released the final DLC that gave unending game play.

Yup. I seriously think that anyone who doesn't use the search function to find the answer to this question should get banned. Then someone from Beth/Obsidian should drive to their house kick the crap out of them and destroy whatever platform they play the game on.

It's funny. If you put in the search bar "continue after end" you get a bunch of results of which at least three address this already.
