My idea for a Mudcrab Guild

Post » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:20 am

Ok so we all know mudcrabs are my favorite creature. This time I have come up with the idea of a new mudcrab guild that could be implemented into Skyrim. I've already got the ranks and the first quest thought of. This is what I've come up with so far:

Ranks:
1. Mud
2. Apprentice
3. Recruit

Then you get to decide on whether you want to become a political or a military force in the group. Each side will lead you to completely different quests.
4. Soldier-Become part of the mudcrab army
Ambassador--Starts spreading the word of the mudcrabs

5. Commander-Become leader of a squadron of the army
Senior Ambassador-Deals with citizen problems

6. General-Become leader of a division of the army
Elder-Deals with diplomacy or war with other guilds

7. High General-Become leader of the entire military
High Elder-Become leader of all politics

8. King-Become Elected ruler

Ok so here is the first mission after you join when you are just Mud.

Your mission is to prove that you can be a useful and loyal member. Each member has had to do this exact quest. The quest is to go to a specific dungeon and reach the end, but you will not be given the location you will have to find it using help from citizens and possibly other members if they choose to help. You end up learning that it is a famous dungeon when speaking to the citizens of the city since none of the members would talk about it. So you go to the dungeon and fight your way through a variety of enemies, the final one being a swarm of cliffracers. Once you defeat the cliffracers you reach the final room. There you find an elderly mudcrab with a long beard, a cane, and a large book. He is one of the first mudcrabs in the guild. He then speaks to you the history of the guild and the greatness of mudcrabs. Then afterwards you receive an even greater appreciation for mudcrabs because of what you just went through. You go back to the guild headquarters with a token given to you from the mudcrab as proof, a coin with a picture of a mudcrab engraved on it. The symbol of the group. You speak with the quest giver to end the quest.

Truly amazing.... they could give aid in the Main Quest if you finish a certain point in the guild before a big battle in the main quest....

Have mudcrabs been confirmed? I'm sure they will be in it, but it would be mildly entertaining to see the reaction if they weren't.

The only reason they haven't been confirmed is because they want it to be the best surprise anyone could receive. So what are thoughts about my ideas?

I think you should include a ranking branch for a Merchant class Mudcrab. :teehee:

Well if they want sales they better be in. and my raction would be to strangle Todd... I'd take a rope to his house... go into his bathroom while he's taking a bath. Then I'd pin his hot body to the floor of the bathroom, tie him down and start to strangle him.

In fact, forget the strangling.

Possibly being a merchant can be a side job to your rank. Or it could just be your main focus in the guild. Either way being a merchant should be involved yes.

S'cool amirite? Not every mudcrab is cut out for fighting or diplomacy. A Merchant class could appeal to the sneaky/thiefy character roll, role, raul, rowl?

Cliffracers are the ultimate enemy for mudcrabs. Mudcrabs have defeated them in a previous war.

I know how you would be able to get into the guild too. All mudcrabs would be neutral to you through the entire game until you attack one. Then there is this cave hidden in a mountainside that's pretty difficult to get to but it's filled with a ton of mudcrabs that will actually be hostile and attack you but if you can get through it to the end of the cave without attacking a single one then you will meet a giant mudcrab(the leader of them). This mudcrab will talk to you if you click on him and he will tell you that you are very powerful and brave to have made it this far into the cave without turning back and survived. He will then give you a quest to kill 100 cliffracers and once you do you go back and talk to the giant mudcrab and he will accept you into the guild.
