Help with Hand-to-Hand build

Post » Thu Jul 21, 2011 1:22 am

Hi all. Just coming back to Obliv and I wanted to play one of the characters I found most entertaining in Morrowind, a Hand-To-Hand specialist. I was just wondering if anyone here has ever successfully done this, and what skills go best. As of right now, I'm open to almost anything.

Race: Dont care

Main Attributes: Strength and ??

Skills: Hand to hand, Heavy/Light Armor, Restoration maybe?, thats all I got.

Thanks in advance

You could go Orc. They have a "berserker" mode.
I like to have Alchemy as a major, Alteration helps with shield.

Have you seen these?

You could look at the default Monk class for one possible approach to this. I think that Restoration would be an excellent idea, especially for its on-touch Absorb Health spell. The biggest problems with a pure hand-to-hand character are:

No way to deliver poisons.

No way to deliver on-strike enchantment.

The skill must be raised to 50 before it will work against ghosts, or anything else with Resist Normal Weapon.

No ranged attack; I suggest Marksman as a ranged skill (and a poison delivery system.)
