Please... Tell me there is way to recover a save

Post » Thu Jul 21, 2011 8:21 am

So, I had this save of 150h of gameplay. I've decided to make a new save to side the legion, left the game for a while until Old World Blues. Bought it yesterday, only installed today. When I load the game, guess what? Only the level 1 save is there, the one I made to side the legion, which I am on the first mission.

I cant tell how pissed I am. Really, you guys can't imagine. So... Please, tell me is there a way to recover my save? I'm not sure how I lost it, but i think i accidentaly it with the level 1 save. Please, tell me a way. Someone.

If you're on PC and you do regular data backups that include the game save folder, you could restore it from a backup made prior to overwriting the save. Other than that, you're probably out of luck.

Your game save files will be kept in your My Documents folder, in MyGames\FalloutNV\Saves. You could check that folder and see if the save is there - the name of the save file will contain a time stamp.

I deleted all the saves I had now from the in-game menu just now, checked FalloutNV/Saves, and there is still autosave.fos.bak and quicksave.fos.bak, but nothing appears in-game.
