Khajiit leg structure

Post » Thu Jul 21, 2011 11:29 pm

Ya with a cat structured leg they looked ridiculous. I know that this is a video game, but why do you think in real life cats walk on four legs instead of two? It wouldn't work.

lets think evolution. if cats moved to being more dependent on their rear legs i don't think they would get rid of that second joint (maybe it would become a vestigual organ but i think it would still be there). besides i think that Ob was taking shortcuts when they made khajiits men with fur.

Morrowind.
Yes, paws instead of feet.
No, they should only be able to wear foot and head armor tailored to their race.
Yes, polls are always fun if used in a thread like this.

If the khajiit stand on two legs then they should be Oblivion style. They are part man after all.

their not part man they are a type of feline that evolve to be intelligent and stand on two feet, plus more cat-like legs looks more agile :)

I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be Bosmer that are changed by Azura according to the phase of the moon (different Khajiit for different moons)... but I'm all up for Darwin Scrolls too if that's the case.

Yes, their race varys by the moons but i thought that they were created by (what many think is) Mehrunes Dagon

Idk, really. I uesp'd it to check, and it says Azurah and that the deity might not be related to Azura. Even though Azura does seem to have a thing with moons.

Guess I need to pick up the big red phone and call up some lore buffs. :sadvaultboy: ...I don't actually have any lore buffs in my big red phone.

The beasts looked kind of dumb the way they walked in Morrowind. I prefered Oblivions beasts. In Skyrim maybe they can strike a balance between the two, have it more beast like but not dumb looking.

We all want the morrowind style features but you know that probably we will get them humanliked shape , why ? Easier and faster rendering times? ( as probable excuse) more probably instead less development times and work ....

I don't care how they look really, as long as my puss is in boots.

You made me laugh.

You realize that there are bipedal digitigrade animals in the world, right? They're called birds.

I hope its close to Morrowind style/a new style which incorperates the style of Morrowind. Oblivions character designs... As well as many other things in Oblivion, were just plain lazy :sadvaultboy:

In Morrowind Khajiit looked ridiculous, their legs looked awful. Oblivion was a step in the right direction, but they should have given the Khajiit paws and claws.

Mixture between Morrowind's, which IMO looked ridiculous, and Oblivion's, which looked to human. They should have paws, and they should be able to wear full helmets and boots, but the meshes should be different (like boots becoming sorta "bracers" and the helmets, well, dunno...).

Your poll is not making this topic better, but not worse neither.

Morrowind style legs are confirmed? Well, i sure hope they don't have Morrowind style walking animation. Every khajiit must have been sky high on moon sugar in that game :P

Agree completely, nice examples!

EDIT: on second thought maybe Khajiit legs could be a bit more elongated with lesser angles between joints
