Does OWB Require...

Post » Fri Jul 22, 2011 5:53 am

I was preparing to download OWB when I saw that someone had said OWB requires the latest update to play. Does it require this? If so, why is this? And where can download the latest patch for PC? Thank you, :3 All answers are appreciated.

Yes it does, for compatibility reasons I would assume. The patch should automatically download when you log onto Steam.

On PC patches are applied automatically when you log in to Steam.

If you don't have the patch, the DLC won't ever show up. If it does, you know you have the latest version.

I'm having an awful time doing this. -.- Somethings up with Steam so I've turned to trying to install the update manually. I installed something called SKIDROW something for Update 7 to overwrite the items that need to be updated. It's all really confusing, I'm not a techy person. :3

I believe that would be considered a less than legal way of updating the game since that likely violates something in the EULA, but don't take my word for it.

What problems are you having with Steam exactly?

I suggest you stop there.

Skidrow is a pirating group, and continuing on the path as you are, it may reveal or lead one to believe that you are using a pirated copy of the game.

If you do indeed have a legit game, then shut down steam and turn it back on. If there is a patch to be downloaded then it will download. If nothing downloads, then you are good. Simple as that.
