Alright, so being the robot fanatic that I am. I decided to create a thread to gage people's opinons on the different bots of the Fallout series. Couple of things though, First: I'd rather this thread not turn into a "New vs. Old" debate which would inevitable lead to a "Fallout 3 vs. Originals" argument. I have the question up there just to get a survery, but lets not focus entirely on it. Second: I'm sure I probably left stuff out, so please tell me/correct me and I'll add them in.

As for my opinion, Personally I prefer the Newer versions of the robots (specifically the Sentry Bot) and I really like the Enclave paintjob (not necessarily because its Enclave but because the bots look so new) and the Outcast coloring is awesome as well (a really close second).

And of course my vote for favorite AI leader goes to Eden. :disguise:

Protectron (clasic), Outcast Paintjob (it looks badass), and Calculator (most powerful)...


EDIT- John Henry Eden had an awesome show but he didn't have as much military might as the Calculator.

Both Sentry Bots are about a tie for me. Enclave paint job and the Calculator gets another vote.

Agreed. The Calculator had some powerful forces at its disposal.

That pretty much covers my answer. Also chose U.S. army paint, cause it is the U.S. and the calculator as that army is pretty amazing.

Do OWB robots count?

Hmm.. I hadn't even considered that. I don't have OWB yet, so I don't actually know the robots, but sure, I don't see why not.

I've only got room for one more slot (poll only allows for like 20 options) but I'll start by adding your favorite (I assume its an OWB robot right?) if people start requesting more OWB ones maybe I'll add another question or take away a couple tactics ones.

I hate the voices of the NV robots, such as the Mister Gutsy. I prefer F3's voice actor.

I agree 100%. They're too high-pitched, quick talking, and the Mister Handy is no longer British. :sadvaultboy:

Hands down older version. The pacification robot was a beast and the Calculator was without a doubt the best AI leader.

Edit didn't see Behemoth. Huh, touch choice, I liked them both. All of the robots in Calc's army were pretty awesome tbh.

I don't really care about the cosmetic differences between old and new robots, honestly. But I picked Securitrons, Civilian, and Yes Man.

My only issue with securitrons is that I don't necessarily like their looks. Its mainly the T.V. screen and the one big wheel. Other than that their firepower is superb.

Fallout 3 Mr. Handy, Civilian coating. The F:NV version completely kicked the cool version from F3 in the crotch. I loved that british accent, now it's all boring and robotic. Plus, I miss those snide british remarks :sadvaultboy:
