Hey, this is my first time posting but I thought this would be the place to come.

I had a crazy idea of possibly reverse-pickpocketing NCR armor into a lot of NPCs so they would wear it and look like NCR soldiers. I was wondering if anyone knows a place to maybe buy or find a lot of NCR armors or kill soldiers that will respawn.

Does that actually work? Getting NPCs into wearing NCR faction armor? I dont know of any place that NCR troops respawn enough to do what your trying to do. Only way I have ever got NCR armor was to kill them off.
Another way if your trying to avoid bad rep to get lots of armor is dress in another faction's armor so youll remain hidden or make sure no one is around to witness the Killing of an NCR troop. Not sure if that helped.....later

Try Camp Forlorn Hope, I think the NCR troops respawn every now and then.

Yes it does work. I think it's only companions that don't wear them. However, the faction thing won't affect them.

From what i read on the Fallout Wiki, the quatermaster at Hoover Dam sells them ocasionally, but its rare and you need to be far enough into the main questline to acess his services. Also there are 4 free armors at the Nipton Hotel and once the Ranger station closest to Novac gets attacked, you can loot some armors off the the dead soldiers there too.

There is one guy over at Primm where all the landmines are that has 2 NCR armors. I always push him into the landmines and then shove him off the bridge for free armor.
