Why ppl call STEALTH NOOB?

If you are sprinting around the map, cloaked with close range 1 shot kill weapon, maximum radar doesn't mean much when you learn to navigate around the map in a non-linear fashion. The maximum radar takes time to refresh your position. You can move enough distance to make it hell for anyone to really track you down.

As for footsteps, nano vision and proximity alarm, by the time any of those things warn you, you are so close to one shot kill range of shotgun user that if you take even a second to find out where this alarm is coming from, you are pretty much dead.

Cloak tracker fails so hard at tracking cloaked users. It actually even gets in the way since the green sprinkles lag behind the actual cloaked player. So you are better off just using stealth enhance yourself to stay in stealth as long as the other guy.


As you can see, most people don't use shotgun. If it's so powerful, why most people don't use it?

I agree most of what he said. But ultimately you can't blame people using that class because it's in the game and it's reasonable to use it. All you need to do is develop your own skills to deal with it, that can make you a real good player.[/quote]


This is where the hypocrisy comes in common quote

"stealth is a part of the game and where just using what the game gives you"

where you hear during the demo?

cloak was alot of weaker because nanovison was much stronger

everyone cried it was overpowered and begged crytek to the point they were forced to nerf it in the main game.

But wait isnt nanovison apart of the game? arent we just using what the game gives us


ironic isnt it?

wanna know what else is ironic?

everyone in the demo cried the jackal was underpowered now its the second most overpowered gun in the game

everyone cried the melee was useless because it took 2 hits and had no lunge. The main gave the melee a lunge not to mention bad hit detection all of sudden everyones crying the melee is overpowered

It is because the game also needs balancing. Stealth doesn't make you invisible, you can easily spot one when you get used to it. And my experience is do not camp there, move actively to deal with shotgun people.

Well, I'm "shotgun cloak whore" and I'm proud of my (s)kills. I kill "pro.s" with "noob" tactics :)
Today I've pwnd 1 server, IA, Impact, with 100 kills (2nd one had about 70+ kills), all with Jackal. Of course, not always in stealth but just in the open space.

Why Cloak is nooby? Because the cloak - anti cloak measures are HEAVILY inbalanced. Wich means that the Anti Cloak measures are USELESS.

Nanovision got nerfed, with 10m you won't spot any cloaked person, except it's a shotgunner.

Cloak Tracker works awefull, it was really awefully designed. Sparkles lag after the enemy, and it does not mark every cloaked person.

Tracker does not show cloaked persons footsteps.

The sound of the Proximity Alarm is UNRECOGNIZABLE! In the middle of the battlefield, you can only hear it, when the enemy is standing right behind you.

And because of this, Cloaking is nooby.
