Who knew that you could squash mantises into the ground with your feet? i sure didn't big surprise when im just walking along and edes battle music kicked in looked around saw red on my radar thingy ran toward it CRACK look down giant mantis is dead and i stared at in for 5 minutes in shock now i of course have to step on all the little buggers when i see them be even cooler if it works on radroaches too

It is because of the fallout 3 special vats move where you smash a radroach withan un armed attack. Note that if your strength is 2 or less it wont work.

If you think that's fun, you should shoot one of the mantis ootheca (their egg cacoons). 12 little mantis nymphs will come out and you can go on a slendid little bug smashing rampage. This might actually be the single most fun activity I've yet to find in the game.

Not to mention the fact it's been about nine months since the game came out. If you don't want to hear anything about what happens in the game or can be done in the game without finding out all on your own, you really shouldn't be reading random posts in here :smile:

I dont have any unarmed or gun training im a diplomat unarmored is 7 and guns is 10 so nope not a special vats move i was just walking/running normally with the w key and stepped on it and it made a big CRACKing sound and i looked down and it was dead didnt even know it was there

I'm waiting for the Devs to make a Legendary Giant Mantis in LR, it completely indestructible, except that its lair has an overhang that you have to scramble to the top of and then take a leap of faith, and kill it Mario mode.
