OWB Combat

I haven't found a challenge in games for years I beat everything on the hardest difficulty with easy so the story and exploration are what I crave.

Come play some Stalker. We lose a lot of people to rage quits on the first mission. The Russian/Ukrainian mod Narodnaya Solyanka is ridiculously hard. I am having a lot of fun with it.

I play Fallout NV on hardcoe very hard and do very well ... drunk. I cannot play Stalker drunk, not and do well at all.

Use weapons that you find in the DLC's as they are far more effective than most of the vanilla-based weapons. For example, most of the weapons found in OWB are far more effective in OWB than what one has brought. So long as you brought enough ammo and health items you should be okay, though it would be wise to expect to die a few times here and there. Save early; save often.

Not at all. I used the Holorifle for most of my kills, OC ammo FTW, that and a regular sniper till I found Christine's. I left the Anti material behind. I also killed a lot of machines with the Paladin Toaster.

True that there are some weapons from the Vanilla game worth taking, but most are outclassed by what is given within the DLC's.
