An ancient 1997 magazine ad for the original Fallout has been submitted to No Mutant Allowed. The ad features a very old piece of concept art I haven't seen before (and you probably haven't either), featuring the Vault Dweller in power armor surrounded by an early version of super mutants.
If any of you have any curious pieces of Fallout archaeology, let me know!

The creatures to his left (that's right from where we are) look really awesome, that quote says they were an early version of supermutants but I think they should be updated into a new game as just mutants.

I have never seen this before...

Same, it would be awesome to have power armor painted as the American flag. But I found a flaw. If you look at the armor it is using the modern 50 star design, I know there isn't 50, but it is the design. Doesn't really matter as it is before the games itself.

Maybe it was supposed to be an ID tag like a prison number or something. Also he is wearing a band-aid on his nose, or something to open his nasal pasages, The Vault Dweller can't breath well :sadvaultboy:

Actually that's the type of bandage you get when you break your nose, so the Vault Dweller looks even awesomer!

And why was that PA cut from the game? They should have it in the next game.

I like the nasal passages thing better...

I hope they have that kind of power armor. T-51b Americanized Power Armor.

This made me remember the Fallout 3 commercials, those were pretty good.
