Lonesome Road: Death Valley or The Graqevine?

If other opinions, please specify

And for those who don't know The Graqevine:

The road is still occasionally closed due to heavy snowfall during winter storms. It has also been closed for fire. As the Graqevine is the major route between Northern and Southern California, any closure is a major disruption to traffic along the West Coast.

Where do you get the Graqevine from? I look at the map we've seen and it doesn't look like anything even close to the Graqevine. If anything, it reminds me more of Newhall pass. But since the Divide is supposed to be in the vicinity of Death Valley, I'm sure it's not that.

But then, I really can't think of anything near Death Valley that would come close to that map, either.

Could be either or......not too familiar with either of these places, though I always thought the Divide was the Grand Canyon.

As far as I know, it's been confirmed to be in the Death Valley area. It's also been mentioned in conjunction with the 88 and 127, though, and those are very far apart, so the Divide might cover more than just Death Valley.

Im pretty sure its Death Valley too, I think I also remember Graham confirming it. Im disappointed though we didnt get a Area 51 DLC. OWB would have been more cooler if it was in the remnants of Area 51 (Which is actually near where NV takes place)

It can not be the Grand Canyon. That's where Joshua Graham was burned and tossed. If there are no known survivors of the divide, then why would the Grand Canyon be it?

Some place near the Death Valley. Some small settlement or possible an industrial area.

Uh hello? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker,_California I used to live there and was saddened because it was not in the game. :( I hope they use it for Lonesome Road though. It's at the junction of Interstate 15 and SR 127 according to the wiki. It's about 30-40 mintues away from Primm in real life. It's down the road where Mojave Outpost is.

I went through there two weeks ago. And then again two days later. The problem with Baker is that it's along the 15, so it can't be the Divide. It's along the NCR's major supply line into Nevada. It also doesn't have the crazy roads that were on the map.

Well Death Valley also fits Graham's description of it increasing NCR reinforcement time, if we take Shady Sands to be near MT Whitey (Vault 13's approx location) then Death Valley cuts immedaitely between it and Vegas.

You might be right. But we know it's out west right? Maybe it's that place up north, with the crashed automobiles are at.
