A question of Akavir

Post » Mon Jul 25, 2011 12:58 am

I have been doing a lot of research on The Elder Scrolls lore lately and I keep hearing of a plane named Akavir and I was curious if anyone knew more of this land.

With that said, my true reason for making this post is to see how many people along side myself hope to see this place come to life in an up coming Elder Scrolls game.
So, who here hopes for this as well?

You'll find quite alot of people want to see it, but theres also alot of people (like myself) who would prefer it never be mentioned again after hearing about it constantly sense freakin Morrowind heh. What do you want to know?

I'm also one of those people. I mean, honestly, I'd love to visit Akavir, but not for a long, long time. I want to explore the rest of Tamriel before I even think of going to Akavir. And honestly, once we finish all of Tamriel, we could easily cycle through all of the provinces again and it would still be fresh and new and the plots could still be amazing. We have plenty to work with as is.

The best source of information on Akavir is the book, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Mysterious_Akavir which appears in Morrowind and Oblivion. There's also the http://www.imperial-library.info/content/tsaesci-creation-myth-and-we-ate-it-become-it.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know it was mentioned so often.
I truly didn't mean to be a pest. You see my curiosity often gets the best of me..
Well as for what I want to know, Nothing in particular pretty much anything to be honest. I would do the research myself but it seems the Wiki page for Akavir has been deleted.

Thank you for you vision on the matter.
I understand your view on the situation. Though my curiosity still forces me to want to see it with my own eyes.
But I can respect what you had said, I suppose I can wait until bethesda decides to introduce Akavir on there own terms.~

Much as I'd love to visit Akavir, sometimes I do wish Bethesda had just never mentioned it to begin with. That or not have adopted their "province per game" formula.

You did nothing wrong. Sure, Akavir is a pretty popular place people want to go too. I'd rather not go to Akavir, as it remains more mysterious that way. Velorien is right also. I want to see more of Tamriel before we go abroad. :foodndrink:

Your not a pest at all, I didn't mean for my post to come across agressive if it did. The Topic of Akivir has been hot for years now.

I understand your view, thank you. Though I don't think it'll make me want to visit Akavir any less.

I'd rather visit more of Tamriel (Arena doesn't really count) before going to Akavir.

Oh no I just try to keep myself from bothering others.
So I'm glad I'm not much of a pest.
But I can see how it can be very popular, Akavir sounds like a amazing place.~
