Divorce

Let's say you're getting tired of your dear Argonian wife/husband- how would you go about divorcing them? Will their be a divorce option?

lol, if not- what's your most creative way of telling your ol' ball and chain: "IT'S OVER."

Eh, divorce can get sticky, having to split your assets and all that. Far easier to just take them on a "vacation" to High Hrothgar and accidentally Fus-Ro-Dah them over the edge.

Ahem, anyone remember being able to buy a slave in Morrowind? Now, I don't know how marriage is going to work in Skyrim (and I really, really, don't give a rat's ass), but if it's anything like the Morrowind slave-ownership, your wives/husbands will eventually end up dead anyway. And even if it's nothing like that: you won't be marrying a dragon (at least not until mods start pouring into PES like gold into my pockets when I go to Mournhold loaded down with Daedric weapons), they should be easy to dispose of.

Once you own a house your husband/wife will stay/live there.

I never use houses. Then again, I won't be getting married either. :P

But still, makes it even easier for others to get rid of their "significant other" if need be. And who says some jerk NPC won't break in and off them while you're out slaying dragons? Don't people rob your ass in Oblivion?

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned taking their wife/husband to the Skyrim's judicial system: Dragon

You guys are awesome. I love some of the things that have been said here.

Since Fyrisi is surprised I will fill the void.

"Gees I hate my damn wife"
"dude you haven't heard?"
"heard what?"
"Dragon swooped through town, 3 people died, your wife man, was one of them."
"Are you serious!"
"No, I'm just [censored]ting you."
"man that is cold"

There will probably be a more peaceful alternative to "divorce by (deadly) force".

tell you what I'll just save myself the trouble of figuring out how to get rid of her and I'll just walk right into Alduin's mouth myself.

I see this becoming the new Adoring Fan killshot vid on youtube, instead it'll be called "Skyrim Divorce vid".
