Alternate Start Mods.

Post » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:51 pm

After going through the character-creation process for the billionth time, I'm looking for a few Alternate Start Mods.

None of my searches have turned up anything, but I'm sure that there's a few out there.
Any help is much appreciated. :)

I haven't tried others but I've used CharGen Revamped for my last couple characters and liked it, particularly the ability to start in multiple locations. Starting out drowning in a shipwreck definitely gave the beginning of my last game a whole different feel.

There's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=6581, which isn't a new start but it makes the original start much better.

You mean for a playthrough and not for mod testing, right? If you're trying to mod test.. well.. take a look at my sig. Otherwise, go with the two there.

There's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3413 from Princess Stomper. You go through the chargen process as normal, but when you get to the last room in the census office, there are some rings on the table. Equipping one will grant you the stats of character indicated by the ring (level 50 Nerevarine, level 10 Thief, etc).

http://www.mwmythicmods.com/Gluby/Gluby_CharGen_Mods.htm is a great list of some superb chargen mods. For a totally new experience, check out Midgetalien's Solstheim Alternate Beginning mod, Privateer's Hold, or Royal Chargen, all excellent and fun to play.

That's a great list! I didn't know some of those existed. :)
