How long has this HYSTERICAL glitch been in the game? : Fallout: New Vegas

Can't say I fight Bighorns that often, and if I do then they die before they get near me. So when I was trying to figure out why my Compliance Regulator wouldn't work and this happened, yeah, really took me by surprise.
Are they always like this?

I don't have a single mod on my system, it's just some weird-ass glitch.

What's funny is that if you pay attention, you can actually hear one of them dying from the fall damage, and you can see me getting an achievement for knocking enemies down from this.

Piercing Palm, Paralyzing Palm and all the unlockable quest perks (Khan Trick, Scribe counter etc).

Actually, lemme go test this with another character, see if I get the same results. Now I'm curious as to why my Courier Six is Jesus Christ when it comes to Bighorns.

It happens to me to. Don't know why. It is a recent development. I think it started at the last patch.

I prefer it to them knocking me down, though.
