Having an issue with the Botanical Garden

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 5:21 am

For some reason, the plants in the botanical garden (in the Sink) won't "reseed" unless I return to the Mojave. Tried waiting for several days both inside and outside The Sink and neither worked. I finally returned to the Mojave, waited there for three days, came back, and they had reseeded.

But this is perplexing because I harvested the garden a number of times before completing the DLC-- before I was even able to return to the Mojave.

Anyone else encountering this?

Same here.
Waited a week inside the Sink but they never reseed.
Stupid Bug if you have to return to the Mojave, wait for days and return.

Muggy is a communist, he sabotaged the SCIU (the problem with Caps) and Your Garden.(he steals the seeds)

Or maybe it′s the Paper Clip - THE CHINESE PAPER CLIP.

Out of curiosity, does that make your Sink vendor list change? I upgraded my only K9000 with all the mods to FIDO, and now I'm out of luck on getting more mods for it.

It hasn't affected the vendor, no. Mind you, once I realized the vendor was hopelessly bugged, I restarted the DLC from the beginning and haven't used the vendor at all.

my plants didn't grow back during the dlc, but once it was finished and i was jumping back and forth to the mojave for the main story, they grew back. i picked them once and they grew back again. i haven't tried waiting though, just playing normally.

the vendor seems to be getting more caps (at 50 cap increments) but everything i sold to it is still in it's inventory but nothing new has appeared. it hasn't ripped me off either. the vendor did initially restock upon completion of the dlc, but not since. at least i have both elijah's and the standard LAER modded.

the other appliances are working fine (over 1600 empty syringes lol, thanks muggy) except my only complaint is the sink does not decrease the h20 meter in hardcoe enough. it only goes in 25 units, to me this is a mistake and should have been 250 units. there's no reason the sink in novac motel room is more hydrating than the sink in the sink. i think they forgot to add a zero.

i think you have to leave a cell in order for it to respawn. there was a fix for the vendor up on tesnexus. you should only have to wait outside the sink and it should respawn the plants........never used the plants myself since i used that saleint green stuff.

Same problem, and I agree. They missed a zero.

The SCIU will not refresh if you wait inside The Sink, even for those on PC with the user patch, as you have to be out of a cell for the contents to refresh. There is one exception to this: the resupply for Elijah's Chemistry Set and the Drop Box in the Abandoned BoS Bunker is controlled via script, and will occur even if you wait in the bunker provided you have met the relevant conditions.

As for the X-22 Botanical Garden, it should respawn regardless of whether you wait on the Sink Balcony or in the Mojave; as I always wait in the Mojave once the DLC is complete I cannot confirm this, however the respawn rules indicate it should work (the Garden is in a different exterior cell than the Balcony).

I already tried that. It didn't work. The plants will only respawn when I return to the Mojave and wait there for three days. They seemed to respawn just fine before I actually completed the DLC.

Er... if you use salient green, then why wouldn't you harvest the plants? You realize the plant yields can be converted into salient green by the Bioglogical Research Station, right?

As for the X-22 Botanical Garden

Sorry if the subject heading was misleading, but I wasn't referring to the X-22 Botanical Garden. I was referring to the Botanical Garden inside the Sink.

Ah, in that case see my comment on needing to be outside The Sink. In fact, that applies to all plants; they will not regrow if you wait in their cell. This is why I use the Abandoned BoS Bunker as a base, since all that respawns out there are the soldiers in the brawls.

I realize you're trying to be helpful, but for the third time now.... that's not working for me.

Odd. Mine is fine except for the White Horsenettle infinitely falling. What system are you on? That may shed some light on these circumstances.

I'm on XBox. Don't seem to be having that horsenettle issue though.

I'm on PS3. According to the posts I've seen I think that your issue is 360 only and only PS3 players are having the horsenettle problem. And if you waited outside and inside the Sink, as well as the Mojave then I am not sure what can be done. :sadvaultboy:

Alright, got it figured out. They won't reseed if you use the wait function on the Sink's balcony (which is where I was doing my waiting). I'd assumed the balcony was a different cell from the Sink's interior, but I guess not.
