Problems with Bloodmoon

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 10:23 am

Hi everyone. I'm playing Morrowind for the first time and loving it, but tonight after installing Bloodmoon I have a problem. When I try to play the game after Bloodmoon is installed, I get an error message about a snowflake mesh being missing, then it kicks me back to the desktop. I'm wondering if there is anything that can make this work (like a patch?). I did try to uninstall Bloodmoon so that I could go back to my original game, but I can't seem to find where it's located in order to get rid of it. (It's not under Program Files/Bethesda/Morrowind like I thought it would be).

Anyway, I'd really appreciate any help you guys can give me. If I can't play Bloodmoon I can live with that, but if I can't get back to my original game, that would really svck. lol

Thanks so much,
Tracy :)

Read the pinned threads, that's what they are for.
The Snowflake error is old and common. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/781497-vistawindows-7-problems/page__view__findpost__p__11345653.
But before you go and do all that work, just http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/781497-vistawindows-7-problems/page__view__findpost__p__11352753. That will fix this problem, and many others that can occur.

Also... if you have both expansions, make sure to to install in this order: Morrowind->Tribunal->Bloodmoon
Install them when you install the game, because they update and fix many things in the original game. Not installing them will also limit your ability to use the essential community patches. (both depend on the expansions)
