Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 3:51 pm

Hello again!

I have fun to making better and better stuffs in blender 2.5 but still there is no nifscript soo, the better things only come later :P.
After all i finally had the motivation to play with nifsokpe, so i made this armor/recolor, and also added it to game. You can buy that in dagon fel, and they are also part of some leveled item list. They stats normal but, stronger then normal silver. Not OP at all!

Have fun!
Use it as you wish!!!

I was wondering the other day, would it be possible to export from 2.5 (as .obj or something), and then open in 2.49 for export as .nif? It is a bit of a roundabout route, but seems like it might work.

Is there there anybody knowledgeable enough to update all the nifscripts and PyFFI? I mean, is the modding community really still going to be using Python 2.6 & Blender 2.49 in the year 2020 when Blender v20.0 and Python 15.0 might be the latest releases? Surely somebody smart enough must be sitting behind a desk somewhere trying to figure out how to improve all of these utility programs.

This is exactly that thing which ran through my head to. And yes am sure this is a viable way tbh.

Makin a model in blender 2.5, paint it, done, send out as OBJ. If (and i think yes) Blender 2.49 can handle it with nifscript, obj import, then import an nif also, if maybe y makin a helm, then import a head, repositioning, then re sizeing the helm, then delete the imported head, and finally save as nif, this could works ye.

And btw i have soo much fun makin recolored items! But am truly sad i cant change the models of them :(:(
If you like RAGE OF MAGES! :D then my new armors gonna be your favourites! :P

have fun!
