What do you like about OWB?

Post » Wed Jul 27, 2011 11:24 pm

FIrst of all i'm not even done exploring the entire OWB but i did complete the main quest killing the think tank and letting mobius live.
anyways, i personally think that OWB is definitely way better than honest hearts and dead money. I love exploring and OWB really gives you the opportunity to explore.
But the best thing about OWB is making all the misc stuff worth picking up like pencils, empty bottles etc, now i can make use of all that stuff. I'm a big scavenger and OWB really gives you the ability to make almost everything valuable.
what do you like/hate about OWB?

Welcome to the forums! Here's your turtle. :turtle:

I enjoy the new and creative weaponry, but I do not like that the Sink vendor does not restock.

I love the characters in owb, they all have different, interesting personalities. The only bad thing i can think of are the off spawn times for hostiles, and even that's going to help me get ready for lonesome road. thanks for not mercilessly killing me :foodndrink:

it says on the http://http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sink_Central_Intelligence_Unit that you have to wait outside in big mt proper for the sink ciu to restock

The fact that LR will be better when compared to it!

We'll have to wait and see. But I'm voting for OWB.

1. Being able to convert one type of plant into another (i.e. Salient Green and the Biological Research Station)
2. Junk item recycling (through Muggy, the Book Chute, and the Toaster)
3. The Auto-Doc and all of it's options.
4. The personality modules in the Sink (and the ability to shut them up when you're just not in the mood).
5. The Brains
6. The Sink base in general (but they need to fix the damned vendor)
7. The humor

Something I wish they considered (well, they might have, but decided against it for whatever reason):

Allowing Roxie to join you anywhere in Big MT and giving her the usual companion options (i.e. tactics, carrying capacity, etc). I'm not fussed about not being able to bring my Mojave companions to Big MT. I've become accustomed to not being able to bring main-game companions into DLC territory ever since Fallout 3. But since many players are going to be taking Big MT as their new home, at least give us a companion in Big MT who isn't restricted to the interior of a single building. I'd like to take Roxie hunting in Big MT with me. Take her to the Sink, set out a dog bowl for her, and see some amusing interactions between her and Muggy.

Muggy and TOaster, hands down, the best personalities in the sink and possibly in the game :)

Brining companions to the Big Empty would mean that they would have to call up the voice actors for more diolauge. (Since I'm sure Veronica is going to say something about Big Mt. rather then talking about dresses) Maybe they don't have the money to pay the voice actors (If they pay them) or the voice actors didn't have time to come in an say lines, OR maybe they just didn't want to do it at all. To much confusion around this.

The stealth suit test, the high school "simulation", half the openeing dialogue with the Think Tank, all the dialogue with them after the opening dialogue.
...
That's it.
The rest was horrible.

Like...
- almost everything about the Sink.
- humorous dialogues throughout.
- exploration of the crater.
- the creative weapons.
- unique armors and clothing.
- feels like part of the Fallout universe unlike the other DLCs.
