G.E.C.K 1.5 Update Problem

Post » Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:06 am

I have a problem where, If I try to run the 1.5 Update, The following error message is displayed: "Old File not Found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match."

I thought maybe I didn't need the update so, I tried to run the G.E.C.K. I got a different error message, "Application failed to start because libvorbisfile.dll could not be found."

Here is the data you may need in order to further investigate my problem:

Game Type: Game of the Year Edition
How I got it: Downloaded from Impulse(GameStop)
Platform: PC (Microsoft Windows XP)
Fallout Update to version 1.7: No

Please, If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I am more than willing to give out more information on the problem if needed. Thank You.

Note: This is an update to possibly valuable information regarding my problem.

I have recently tried to SAVE the update rather as to just running it. The outcome was unchanged. I don't understand what I have done wrong. All of the stuff that needs to be saved under Fallout is saved under it. I have no idea what happened. :swear:

I'm not sure if this will work or not.....

(UPDATE)
I have saved the icons under Fallout: Game of the Year and on my desktop. So far, there has been no change in the error message. For anyone that may have advice, I'm open to ANY suggestions you might have. Thank You.
