Hmm... can you explain the "cursor mode" that you're accustomed to in more detail?
Basically, in cursor mode, you have to click and then move the mouse to the edge of the screen in order for the view to change to the side of you, what's above/below you, etc. So while your character is walking, it doesn't matter if you move your mouse slightly -- you will always always be looking straight ahead, walking in the certain direction, and the camera is locked in on a certain angle. I'm finding with the mouse look option, you can be walking straight and suddenly be looking up/down/all around when moving the mouse, which makes me a bit motion sick.
