Bad enemy spawning

Post » Sat Jul 30, 2011 8:10 pm

Anyone else notice really delayed enemy spawns at certain points. There were also a few where I had cleared out an area with a dead end, only to be attacked from behind when leaving. Me thinking "where the heck did you come from"? There were also times where i would be walking along the outside area, and enemies would suddenly spawn in front of me. I love OWB, but only noticed it in this DLC.

Yes, that is a problem for me too. I just fast travel to avoid them.

I'm so happy that there are random spawns I won't complain. But yeah, I've experienced the same thing you posted about.

I enjoy the combat / enemy spawns in OWB because it makes you choose your engagements. I ended it up running away from quite a few fights because it wasn't worth wasting ammo / damaging weapons. Wish the mojave felt more like that.

While playing the game I seem to get a lot of spawns right behind me during critical times like when sneaking and lining up a shot on a lobotomite.

Once by the waste disposal area I was lining up a shot when I got PUMMELED by grenades by 2 securitrons (whichever type of robots that guard Mr. Houses penthouse) right behind me...not fun. All my limbs got crippled before I realized what was happening..

Usually there's a quick frame rate drop right before enemies spawn so it at least lets me get ready. Really have no problems with the spawn times though since slaughtering lobotomites is a great source of income

According GECK game data, it's part of scrip with enemy spawn event. They're spawn some mixed npc or creature's level(depend on what level you are).

I had that a lot in Honest Hearts, but can't say I noticed it so much in OWB (that doesn't mean much though, I'm not terribly observant.) I also noticed a number of spawn points appeared to be quite elevated: it was rather odd watching a lizard drop from above treetop height before it started looking for mischief... also odd that it didn't die, since I've little doubt that fall would've killed my character!
