Okay, maybe you guys were right about Meltdown!

I've never had much problem with Meltdown, but I think I just realized why the majority of people around here dislike the perk so much, and I just realized why >_>

Those guys had low HP, and I completely FORGOT that Meltdown can cause chain reactions. Not surprisingly, I met my end. I thought I would kill the one guy, absorb the damage and pop a Stim. Not a smart idea to do, just wearing a Follower's Lab Coat :sadvaultboy:

Do you guys refuse to use the perk, or do you put up with it?

Actually wasn't one of my DiD characters, as you could tell by the modified Laser RCW.

The chain explosion was a beautiful sight to behold though!

As long as you are always aware of it, and don't use energy weapons in situations like that, I never have any problems with it. It's wise to buff up a secondary weapon skill for close range, so you can swap to a big handcannon pistol, or SMG, or shotgun, or Pushy, or whathaveyou.

This

I never make energy weapons a primary weapon source, usually guns. I also have melee pretty high too, but hardly use it. But I definately use guns most of the time. I usually use energy weapons to snipe with the YCS thing, and maybe some rifles.
