You can shoot dropped dynamite to detonate it manually, it can be helpful in an ambush/trap.

:o

Wait what the heck I replied to your post and it went above it? How does that work?

Hold down the action button to continuously drink from a water source! I didn't learn this until I was 2/3 of the way done with Fallout 3...

fallout: Yes, Yes it does!

Here's a tip a tip for you guys!

The first thing you should know is that Freeside is run by a pack of yahoos that call themselves the Kings. Their leader, who oddly enough calls himself the King, currently has his hands full trying to prevent an all-out riot in Freeside. (That's two tips, but what the hell. You're a new customer so the extra one's on me. Wanna hear another?

I just learned that when you are hacking a terminal, if you find something enclosed in brackets (As In something that looks like this (././l;,;.) or <;/l?;';>) and you type it in, the computer will remove a dud password, or replenish your allowance.

Played this game forever, had no idea. MIND = BLOWN.

Also didn't know about the continuous water drinking until just a little while ago...

I knew about the brackets but I never use it for some reason.

Here's my tip to you all (I say it a lot but I don't think people take it seriously)

Deathclaws cannot "see" you while you stand on an isolated object (IE the rock crusher conveyor in Quarry Junction, a car, a garbage can, hell even a rock.) Snipe away.

On terminals the top left three words have a high chance of being the pass word.

Not true, spent 20 minutes hacking one terminal by only using the first 3 words on the left hand side!

Buy your weapon mods as soon as you see them, even if you don't have the actual weapon yet. The mods have a funny habit of not being available later in the game.

Sleep frequently so the vendors have time to reset.

If you plan on using a weapon with rare ammo, begin stockpiling said ammo immediately (again, even if you don't have the gun yet). Do a few minutes of research to find safe containers and store your ammo there until needed.

Start buying Rad-X, Rad-Away, Fixer, and Med-X early and whenever you see them. You're going to need them later for a certain Vault and for a certain Faction so your rep will increase.
