End of Fighters Guild problems

Post » Sun Jul 31, 2011 3:39 pm

I'm at the part of the FG quest line where Percius Mercius wants me to eliminate Hard-Heart's supporters, one of which is Eydis Fire-Eye in Balmora. When I approach her, she initiates dialogue and attacks me. I let her him me once or twice them kill her, but I get a 1000 gold bounty and expelled from the guild.

The same thing DOESN'T happen when I kill the orc in Vivec, even though I take the same route (let him talk to me, let him hit me two times before I kill him)

Any way to get around this? Or will I have to eat the 1000 gold bounty, make amends (if possible) then continue on to finish the quest line for the FG?

Have you been doing the Thieves Guild questline at the same time? It's a known problem.

"You are not asked to kill Eydis if you have performed the Thieves Guild Bitter Cup quest. Unfortunately, she will attack on sight anyway which may result in your expulsion from the guild. If you are on PC and have an expansion, finish the Fighters Guild quests then use SetJournalIndex FG_KillCronies 0 to remove the entry that makes Eydis attack. Another way to avoid expulsion is to summon a creature and let that take care of her. Beware, only summoned creatures should hit her, do not join in the combat or you'll be expelled from the Fighter's Guild."

Buying some Summon Scrolls might be a good idea if you don't want to deal with Guards/make amends.

I talked to Hard-Heart about eliminating the top Thieve's Guild operatives for the 5000 gold, but I wasn't planning on actually killing them. Is that the problem? I haven't joined the Thieve's Guild at all, so there should be no problem with Fire-Eye and the TG quests intertwining.
