Why is your character a prisoner?

Post » Sun Jul 31, 2011 1:25 pm

This is my character:

Race-Nord

Gender-Male

Age-31

Hometown-Skyrim

Occupation-Traveling Merchant

This is my story-
I was traveling through Morrowind to sell goods and items there when a racist gang of dunmer surrounded me. They threatened me and tried to steal my stuff I was going to sell. My instincts kicked in and I fought back, using magic and my bare fists to fight back. However, there were too many of them. They all grabbed me and took me to the local prison. The dark elves that worked as guards there were racist too (well it's Morrowind, what do you expect? All dark elves hate nords and vice versa). I managed to sneak one lockpick into the cell that they assigned me, and I was lucky and skilled enough to escape. A group of dunmer guards chaced me through the forests for a month or so, and finally caught me. We were close to skyrim, so they decided to bring me to prison there. They told the guards in Skyrim that I was a muderer, so the guards arrested me and decided that I would be executed. What happens next you will find out in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

In Elsweyr, the leader of the Khajiit, The Mane, is in need of someone to venture to Skyrim for alchemical research, to perfect his skooma recipe. I, apprentice to The Mane's court alchemist, and proud member of Pride of the Mane, have been selected to go pick flowers in the snow.

Depending on whether there are autocrats in Skyrim or not I will probably assume that I was imprisoned for publicly calling for an uprising. At least that’s how it’ll be during my pacifist play-through.

In before wall of texts from nerds wanting everybody to read their character but won't bother reading the characters of other peole.

U mad?

I diddnt know crossing the border was a punishable offense let alone one that warrants an execution, man the laws in Skyrim are tough especially considering that in Cyrodiil murder is only a 2000 septim fine.

It's cos them dang librals an goin easy on dems crimnals! Skyrim done keepin it like it shoud... none that govment spendin on prisners or takin money from tha innocents. Ceerodeelic law gone backwards. Its no wonder that der 'conomys gone ta hell. Plus cos all that, they took our jobs!!

My same character from Oblivion, an Argonian ex-slave from Black Marsh who moved to Cyrodiil and later found an ancient Ayleid secret, a potion to give immortal life (from aging, not physical damage) however he lost the recipe and the ruins were long lost when an Oblivion gate opened up but was closed soon after when a certain someone ate someone else's neck and killed them. He joined the Thieves Guild for a short time and was tasked with pickpocketing a document from someone crossing the Northern border to Skyrim. Needless to say, he was caught.

Name: Jaq Draco
Race: Breton
Profession: Officially a traveling battlemage taken to adventuring and travel, unofficially a spy for the Empire
Age: 22-25

The crime of espionage on the kingdom of Skyrim after being accused of being a Imperial spy by a local chieftan tipped off by an unknown informant. Though to be fair he was indeed a spy sent to investigate rumors of the local legend 'Dovahkiin' (similar to how Morrowind began) as well as keeping tabs on insurrectionist movements as a member of the Occuli Imperator.

Apparently my character was mistaken for a witch and now they want to burn him at the stake. People in Skyrim are pretty harsh.

Well, think about it, Skyrim's in a state of Civil War, and I doubt they take people trying to sneak in to kindly to begin with. So, combine the Civil War+The Empire+You sneaking in= They could possibly mistake you(or properly identify you, if that's the backstory you want) for an assassin/agent/spy for the Empire, trying to infiltrate Skyrim.

The wise and the magic masters kept me in secret after they found me as a baby after they killed some of the greatest villains and most powerful mage/warriors at that time... my parents. Knowing my genetic potential, they wouldn't risk letting me loose into society as I grew older. Fortunately for them, they wiped my memories. So I had an equal chance of choosing good or evil.

Didn't they say that it's because you crossed (trespassed) into Skyrim territory? Why that leads to your execution is beyond me.

Name: Hans Northwode, son of Corrick and Kayleen Northode. His mother was a Nord, so he is also mainly a Nord, but he does carry some magical ability from his Breton father.

Reason for prison/execution: As Hans crosses the Cyrodiil/Skyrim border searching for his disappeared sister Potema, he is arrested because they think he is a spy for the Empire.

EDIT: To Jacks-Up: Lol, just read your post. Yes, I believe I did read that somewhere. I have felt that the most likely reason my character would be executed would be 'cause he was mistaken for a spy.

My character in Skyrim is the direct descendant of my COC from OB. He had visions and dreams of Skyrim and felt like he was being drawn to the place. That is the reason he crossed the border into Skyrim and was arrested
