A positive thread.......

Post » Tue Aug 02, 2011 9:30 am

The Elder Scrolls is my favorite series of all time, and with all the amazing things in it (way too many to list), this game is going to be absolutely massive and amazing. I don't even see why people would pay any attention to any of the other games this year because of how great Skyrim looks. I think this game has the potential to be my favorite game of all time (which is currently Morrowind). I also think most of the negative threads are here because since The Elder Scrolls is such an amazing series, people worry about every tiny small detail. In the end, I'd bet that the game will turn out great, and that people should just give it a chance, even if some[some things are a bit different than previous Elder Scrolls games. :tes:

A great thread, it's good to remember the great things this new installment is bringing to the table! I've even read a few things I hadn't heard and have more to look forward to.

I think the disgruntled threads are due to the lack of recent information/media. It comes down to appeasing the masses and when we haven't been fed our pudding, we start to whine. I've yet to be disappointed by any of the Elder Scrolls games, and I'm confident Skyrim is going to svck away my off-time, and my beer!

The people now actually look like people, not scary giant cabbage patch kids.

I literally laughed my ass off when I read this! You, sir, owe me a new ass.

I like the fact that FINALLY, people in a TES game don't look like they all fell out of an ugly tree.

I like the cave enviroments and the flowing water within caves.

I like dual weilding weapons and spells. How long have we wanted that?

I love new armor.

I like dragons (just hope they are not too common and end up like cliffracers).

I love Nord Lore. Give me more!

Someone needs to write a song in the style of "The World Is Just Awesome" (also known as Boom De Yada), with all the stuff we're looking forward to in Skyrim. I'll try a verse.

I love the mountains,
I love the tall fair Nords,
I love exploring, and killing stuff with swords!
I love this province, Skyrim's an awesome place!
(Boom de yada, boom de yada, boom de yada, boom de yada!)

Okay, that's all I can come up with.

Its still open world and sidequests have random locations. The latter is a positive as maybe no two quest walkthroughs will be the same..

combat looks better

you cant cast magic with both hands equipped any longer

graphics are darker and less cartoony than oblivion

animations and facial features are much improved

snow physics so that i can make snow angels and snowmen..........er i mean snowpersons

removed easy exploits like spellmaking

spells appear to act more like dark messiah and midas magic spells as opposed to just boring shader changes in oblivion and morrowind.

nord women have ample bosoms.......who needs a bed when i can rest on those pillows :hubbahubba:

more unique dungeons

no more billboard leaves that follow you when you move

weapons and armor look more realistic and less animeish than oblivions

spears

dwemer dungeons

dwemer dungeons

did i mention the dwemer dungeons are back. :toughninja: ayleid blow compared to the dwemer

its in skyrim and not some stupid animal crossing kingdom. i dont want to see a bunch of walking talking pandas and giraffes in my game thank you.

@Chaz GELF..........speaking of hilarious bugs which i also wouldnt mind seeing one or two of as long as they dont completely bork my game. this is my current favorite one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToKIkw3LIoQ

The only thing so far I can somewhat judge on whether it's positive or not is the graphics. What I've seen so far, the game looks phenomenal. Hope, on consoles as well ...
