Noobs r' us?

So I just got this game last night for pc and been tyring to do multiplayer and it's extremely hard to start out I've noticed. Yeah sure, there's noob servers (so to speak) or new recruits. But those aren't populated when I'm on (which is usually evening.) I love the graphics of the game and the single player. I use to own crysis 2 for xbox 360 then I kinda got rid of my 360 and switched to pc gaming. The game is quite a bit different then a console version and I'm having trouble adjusting to it. Anyone havce any tips or ideas that could help besides things like l2play or troll comments like that. I'm relatively new to pc gaming and it's a lot fun but I can't seem to get the hang of crysis 2 multiplayer at all. I mean, i'm okay at multiplayer games usually but not this terrible. Any tips or help I can get would be appreciated

PC setup:
NZXT full tower phant case (white)

asys m4a87TD/USB motherboard
gigabyte radeon hd 6850
G skill 1600 mghz 9-9-9-24-2n timings 8 GB (4 x 2 gig sticks) running at 1333 mghz with 8-8-8-24 timings
AMD phenom II x6 2.8 ghz 1055t thuban ediiton (non-BE)
corsair H60 hydro series liquid cooling for the processor

Gigabyte keyboard + mouse (mouse has 2 side buttons which I use)
18.5 inch asus monitor with 1366 x 766 resolution

My computers more then cable of running the game so it's not a framerate issue and I'm running it on high - very high in dx 11 mode. I don't know what my framerate is but it's not choppy and I don't care to get it above like 60 frames since the human eye can only see 32 frames a second so yeah..

Once again, any help or tips I can get would be appreciated and yes, I am a noob when it comes to pc gaming :(.

Paste this into your game.cfg file then set the file to 'read only' so it can't be overwritten >
r_NightVisionBrightLevel = 0
r_NightVisionCamMovNoiseAmount = 0
r_NightVisionCamMovNoiseBlendSpeed = 0

In your windows mouse options make sure 'enhanced pointer precision' is unticked.

Yeah some servers are full of pros playing frantically, best thing to do if you want to enjoy your games and not have to snort 5 grams of charlie to keep up is leave the server and find a more chilled one.
I'm not a fan of playing frantically myself and much prefer playing with level headed stoners, hell we even kick folks sometimes for l-taggin'. :P

Check out bitey's vid ... it's a good start. https://secure.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=36160&hilit=bitey

I made of mistake of jumping onto servers that were punishing me. Since beginners are out gunned, etc, it's tough to get any feel for the game. I didn't know when I started playing there were new recruit servers and by the time I found out I was ranked too high:(

Welcome. Glad you came and hope you stay.

You dont mention your mouse: For me, it matters. Developing accuracy seems to be absolutely key. Accuracy and awareness.... I would also recommend going to empty servers and learning the maps. Servers with less than 4 people are in unranked "pre-game" mode, and you can chat it up, ask questions and try things at a more leisurely pace. Also, check this thread for some tips.

See you out there!

(EDIT: BigIronTechs link and mine get you to the same place.)

Got this quote from the Classic server thread. It may help you get some Expirience points.
Another benefit of Classic Mode is that it gives you experience for all your suit modes, Stealth, Armor, and Power, in relation to how long you played in the Classic Mode server. So, if you ever wanted to switch to normal server you could, and wouldn't be short any experience in those categories.

Experience in those categories levels you up and allows you to pick other modules. For example, Visor enhance in the stealth category requires level 6 Stealth to use. So, playing in a classic mode would get you experience towards that progression.

This vid is a little old now but there might be something interesting in there.

Some things to think about. You're not invisible in stealth even with stealth enhance 2 so be aware when you're moving around. Practice flipping into armor mode whenever you get into a firefight. You'll probably find that the game cannot keep up with you when you switch so you need to pause for a few ms before shooting otherwise you will lose all your energy. If you can assign functions like melee, Nanovision & crouch to your mouse then do so because it makes play much more fluid if many functions are close at hand. Playing objective based games can allow you to develop without constantly being slaughtered by shotgun rushers because you can decide to hold back from the objective to keep a lid on things. Playing on the clan servers is the fastest way to get discouraged - I'm a pretty casual player in this game and I get murdered on the likes of SiTH etc.
