Hello forum ! So I had Veronica as a follower and when i got to ( I forgot the name of the place but its an NCR base at an abandoned airport near the strip) she talked to me and said she needed to get back home and she gave me a quest. Now my question is does this happen after having her with you for a certain amount of time ? Because one of my friends got the quest at the same place as me and another one got it when he was in Goodsprings with her. I can't find an answer on the internet and I'd be surprised if anyone has an answer but if you do please tell me, thanks

It's triggered by certain things that Veronica sees as you explore the Mojave. So not time, but when exposed to certain things. Read the wiki for what specific things that trigger the quest.
