I have recently viewed "How to Train Your Dragon," and it reminded me of Skyrim. In the film, King Leonidas - who plays the part of Gerard Butler in this movie - says something pertaining to your shield being the most important weapon you can have.

My question is: is it possible to equip just a shield in your off-hand, and engage in fisticuffs with your main-hand?

Also, to further that question: would it be possible to duel-wield shields?

With the clever use of shield bash, and well timed blocks, it would be possible to stave off your enemies' attacks, and even prevail against the forces of dragon-y darkness.

Hand to hand is likely only possible with no weapons equipped.

Shield and nothing else, could be possible.

I don't see why would wouldn't be able to have a shield and fist combo.

Off Topic: "How to Train Your Dragon" is not the first motion picture in which Mr. King Leonidas fought against dragons. The first, if I recall correctly, is a movie where he played a small part alongside Batman and that "Guy from Dazed and Confused," "Reign of Fire." Bethesda, you should take note of this, as well as Mr. K. L.'s booming, gravely voice.

It would be cool to dual-wield shields. Most people don't realize that if games and movies were historically accurate, the character would hold their shield in their best hand.

If you want to see dual wielding shields done right, play Demon's Souls, There are offensive shield types that have awesome combos attached to them.
