What makes these 30-2 pros in Instant Action pros

Post » Wed Aug 03, 2011 10:14 pm

What do they do, I could dream of getting such scores. I mostly get 20-16 or something - more kills than deaths if I don't meet hackers, but pretty slowly growing kills and well, too many deaths.

What do all those pros do ... do they camp now, or keep running?

Probably a few factors - the game is not always a level playing field.

1) The setup you run is often quite important. If you're getting 60fps constantly you have a slight advantage. If you have a fast system bus & fast memory you will get another slight advantage - any input lag can really screw you over in a twitch shooter like this. A fast polling gaming mouse with high DPI, DPI switching, an array of buttons and even macros can all help to give you yet another small advantage. A high resolution, large sized monitor with low response time also helps. Simply the more modern and powerful your system the better you will do.

2) The modules you run and the weapons you use. There seems to be a sweetspot for getting the maximum kills in the game. Modules like Energy Transfer, Stealth Enhance & Mobility Enhance coupled with a weapon like the Jackal or the Scar means you can spend most of your time running in stealth, coming up on a target - switch out - kill - back in stealth - repeat.

3) Skill & practice. Even with all the above gaining experience through playing is the best way to get high KDR. It improves your aim, your awareness, your ability to anticipate the actions of other players. Playing the game for hours on end day after day means you will raqe more casual players.

Personally I'm getting a touch bored with the game now. I'm happy - I got my 50+ hours out of it. Sometimes I'll dip in for the odd game but if I come up against a 'PRO' player I'll usually just quit and find another game. Getting shotgunned in the back every 10 seconds gets pretty tedious after awhile.

I prefer objective games with 10-12 players but finding them is getting hard. All I see is IA or TIA, 16 player rounds on Parking Deck or Evac Zone - looking forward to BF3 and hopefully some proper tactical gaming.

Well skills are skills you have it or you don't.But still let me tell you some of the things which i followed before becoming a pro.
1.While playing a MP reduce your graphics setting as much as possible. In MP frames matter a lot.Higher the frame means fast reflexes while lower the frame mens laggy reflexes.

2.If you u have a high DPI mouse don't ever make the mistake of playing with super high sensitivity. If you play with high sensitivity your aim will be pretty much ruined.I use Razer Death Adder mouse with 3500Dpi but my ingame sensitivity is 5.So i have a perfect balance of accurate aiming and quick close combat reflexes. You have to find that sweet spot yourself. No one can help you there.

3.If you meet a pro in server don't call him hacker.Calling a pro hacker further fires him up and as a result he will target you more. When noob call me hacker i get more motivated and further target them.If possible try to be friendly with them.Say good things in chat and if possible add him to your friend-list.Then squad up and win.Nothing feels sweeter than winning matches.

4.In crysis2 stealth enhance3+mobility ehance3+energy transfer3 are most commonly used perks. And they are so damm effective. So get rid of all those junks perks and use perks which everyone uses.

5.Increase your FOV to atleast 70 if u have 18inch monitor or 80 if u 20inches or more.

I haven't used all three in ages. I usually have only one of them equiped.

Alternate good setups

Nano Recharge 3, Visor Enhance 3, Weapons Pro 3 or Aim enhance 3

Proximity alarm 3, Covert Ops 3, Aim Enhance 3

Armour enhance 3, Stealth Enhance 3, Mobility enhance 3 is pretty all round good as well.

Energy transfer 3, gives you all your energy back in about a second if you don't drain energy after getting kills
Nano Recharge 3, improves healing and reduces recharge time to around 2-3 seconds always if you don't drain.

Energy transfer 3 is favoured by people using nanovision.

Re: calling good players hackers
I think many good players don't care if its just a newbie calling them that.

My setup:
- FY71 weapon with supressor, assault scope & single shot
- armor enhance
- cloak tracker
- point fire enhance

I almost never stealthed with todays setup, I just run around with maximum armor and shot everything down, if someone hits me first while I do my sprint I make a power jump, turn around in the air and kill him.

Results from just today:
(I was almost in every game I played first place.)

My overall profile stats do nowhere represent my stats these days.
I really got beaten hard from lvl 1 - 20, but after I perfected my mouse settings and changed from Scar to M.K.60 I started to pwn. (with the DLC weapon it's maybe a little more easy but I also found a very good M.K.60 setting for me too)

If you play with vsync enabled on 60hz monitor / tv, type "sys_MaxFps = 59.9" in your autoexec. This makes your mouse responding without any delay.
You can even play on Ultra gfx with 30 fps with a completely lagfree mouse with this command ("sys_MaxFps =30").

Yeah right. Playing without stealth like S-dubby gives you KD of this.
